

Ostia Antica archaelogical site is a fantasticly well preserved roman city and was the first colony and the ancient sea port of Rome becoming a cosmopolitan melting pot where today, walking along its streets, you can understand the everyday life of its inhabitants.
Get ready to walk down its streets and enter into its houses, baths, taverns, commercial and industrial buildings as in a time machine!


- 1ST OPTION: The Ostia Antica Standard Tour lasts 3 hours including the Necropolis (city od the dead), the Baths, the Theater, the Dry Cleaners, the Domus of the Fortuna Annonaria, the Latrines, the Forum, the Tavern of Diana, the Oil Mill of Silvano – tickets are not included and can be purchased on site; trekking shoes suggested
- 2ND OPTION: The Ostia Antica Extended Tour lasts 4 hours including also the oldest Synagogue in Europe, the underground Mithraeum, the Domus of Porta Marina which are on the opposite side of the site – (tickets can be purchased on site)
- meeting at the ticket office or outside Ostia Antica train station. Site is reachable by train from Rome with a 1,50 euro ticket in 60 mins (directions) or by taxi/private van from Rome with about 60 euros
- Trekking shoes, water and hat suggested
- site entrance is 18 €; EU citizens 18-25 2 €; EU citizens under 18 free; closed on Mondays
