

The Tiber has for centuries been the driving force of the city, navigation for materials, goods, food and people as well as water resource for fishing and mills along its course.
Starting from Ponte Sisto, built at the behest of the Pope of the Sistine Chapel, we will cross the fascinating Via Giulia with the beautiful Farnese Arch and its historic and noble palaces. Then we will visit in detail Castel Sant’Angelo, the ancient mausoleum of the emperor Hadrian later transformed into a papal residence, with its frescoed rooms and panoramic views climbing up to the terrace of the angel.
